Easy Fix For Bad Breath

August 22, 2017 by

Does you dog have bad breath?  Have you tried everything and just decided that he or she will always have that bad breath, no matter what?

Well, we can help.

We provide a chewy that is clinically proven to reduce bad breath in dogs!  These chews are calle OraVet® Dental Hygiene Chews.

Here are some quick facts:

  • Bad breath is NOT normal
  • Plaque and bad-breath-causing bacteria build up on teeth and gums
  • Plaque can harden and turn to tartar which leads to persistent bad breath and health issues

The special ingredient in these chews is delmopinol.  This ingredient is located in the center of the chew and is released throughout the mouth as soon as your dog starts chewing.  This ingredient has been used for years in human oral rinses.  Delmopinol stops the bacteria that leads to plaque, tartar and bad breath.

It’s recommended that you give your dog an OraVet® chew once a day.  With the advanced dual-cleaning (cleaning and protecting) these will really make a difference for your pup.  Plus, they love them because they have a great taste dogs love!

To learn more about these chews, you can watch a video here.

Regular dental cleanings are important to your dog’s overall oral health.  We recommend at least 1 dental a year.  We prefer one dental cleaning every 6 months.  However, effective daily cleaning is irreplaceable and can help your pup’s dental cleanings go more smoothly.  Come by and ask about these dental chews!

More About Lyme Disease

August 8, 2017 by

Lyme Disease is a tick-borne disease that can be transmitted by only one tick bite.  This disease can affect dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes.  The more time a dog spends outside in areas where ticks are prevalent, the greater the risk your dog can get this disease!

This disease has been found in every state in the United States and even in some provinces in Canada.

When clinical signs do develop, they may be transient or recurrent and can include:

  • Fever
  • Decreased appetite
  • Swollen and painful joints (dogs may be reluctant to move)
  • Lameness – limping which may be mild at first, then worsen, and may also shift from one leg to another
  • Lethargy
  • Swollen lymph nodes

If you have ever seen a tick on your dog, you will need to get him or her the vaccination.

Our vaccine is $35 per injection.  At first there are 2 injections.  Your dog will get one and then 2-4 weeks later will need the 2nd (booster).  After that, the vaccine is then given only once a year.
