Many of us make New Year Resolutions this time of year. This is great! We’d say that most do this to have a better future for themselves and their family. We put together a little list of New Year Resolutions you can set for your pet so they can also have a better, longer and healthier life. Let us know how we can help you make these stick!
- Spend more time with your pet. Put in the extra time weekly to go on a longer walk, maybe set aside some extra time to play at a park or dog beach. Extra time could also just be sitting with your dog or cat at the end of each day before bed and giving them that extra TLC.
- Does your pet need a better diet? A lot of us make personal weight loss resolutions. What about your dog or cat? Should they also go on a diet or be eating better food? Bring your pet into the clinic and let us help you both! We can let you know if your pet needs a diet and what that diet should consist of. Just like us, not all dogs and cats are the same. Your pet should be evaluated by our vets to see what food is right for them so they, too, can live a healthier lifestyle.
- Get that yearly check-up. All pets should get a physical exam at least once a year. This is a preventative measure against any future health issues and expensive treatments later on in their life. What better timing than at the start of the new year to do this?
- Fix that bad breath. Pets need dental care just like us. Bad breath can be a sign of major health issues stemming from poor dental hygiene. Poor dental hygiene can lead to other disease and expensive treatments. It goes without saying that good dental care is important for your pet’s health. Make an appointment this year to get your pet a dental cleaning. We have a great dental special that won’t break the bank. Call us to set one up!
We hope everyone has a GREAT and PROSPEROUS New Year!!!
