We hope everyone had a safe New Year’s!
With that said, if you haven’t already, it’s time to start preparing for the new year. A lot of goals and dreams are set this time of year. Some of them for yourself, some for your family and some for your friends. It’s also time to think about your little ones (or big ones!) and their health. How are your pets doing? Could they be doing better? When was the last time the vet saw him or her?
Have they been coughing recently? Incessant scratching? How are their ears and eyes? Does their breath smell worse than it used to? Are they moving slower than usual? These are just some of the obvious things you can see that the vets at the clinic can help you with just by giving your pet a physical.
Depending on the age of your pet, it’s recommended that your pet get a physical at least once a year, if not twice a year.
The reasons for this are many. However, the most important one is if you catch something early enough, you have a much better chance of beating it (needless to say, it will undoubtedly be cheaper to treat in the long-run). Some symptoms of some diseases won’t even be noticeable to you. Our vets are spot on. If you bring your pet in, he or she will receive a thorough physical to ensure the overall health of your pet.
A good physical does not have to take long. It’s not painful and we are good at giving your pet a stress-free environment.
So, take a good look at your pet. If you think he should be checked on by the vet, you are probably right. Let’s let the year be great and start off right with good health for the whole family!
Again, Happy New Year!
